Autumn Magic

The past few days have been such a gift from nature – warm, mellow yellow sunshine, glowing amber clouds against sapphire skies at sunset and the drift of woodsmoke in the air.

For this week’s Edit, I’ve gone for the theme of ‘Autumn Magic’ to capture that sense of enchantment and bring it indoors. It’s as much about colour – velvety moss green, dusky rose, plum, ochre and amber – as it is about characterful little additions that reflect the magic of what’s happening outdoors.

Hello hedgehogs, owls, geese, shimmering golden leaves, sumptuous velvets, earthy tan leather, cosy wool throws and smoky g
lass.

Although there’s a slowing down as autumn arrives, there’s also this lovely window where the richness of nature feels so alive. The season carries a really special nostalgia too – memories of brambling, conkers in the playground, apple crumble in the oven and that feeling of being wrapped in a warm, golden glow.

So, this week’s edit is about creating a little bit of magic with colour, character and creativity while the light dips, the fire crackles and everything takes on an enchanted quality with a little bit of a storybook feel.
